Job summary

Kokua Education is seeking substitute teachers to support K-12 schools across Kyle, Buda and surrounding Austin area. You will help engage students, supervise on campus activities, and provide tutoring or proctoring as needed.

The role offers a quick hiring process, W-2 employment, and opportunities to grow into full-time positions within high-performing schools near San Marcos.

Qualifications

• 1+ year working with students in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camps, etc.)
• Minimum of 48 college credit hours
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to pass state & federal background checks
• Out-of-pocket costs will be reimbursed after 10 teaching assignments

Responsibilities

• Step in where needed throughout the school day to support your campus, including lunch/recess supervision, hall and bathroom monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season
• Lead classrooms and help create a safe, supportive learning environment
• Attend assignments at K-12 schools across the San Marcos area

• $150 per day for Bachelor’s and Master’s/Professional (MBA, JD, M. Ed, etc) degree substitute teachers, $200 per day for long-term assignments
• $129 per day for High School/GED, 48+ college credits, and Associate’s degree substitute teachers, $200 per day for long-term assignments

• 1+ year(s) working with students in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camps, etc.)
