Job description

Title: Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional

Rate: $130/day for substitute teachers and $120/day for substitute paraprofessionals (aides)

Qualifications

• Valid and appropriate Illinois licensure (PEL, SUB, STS, or ELS/PARA with B.S. degree).
• License registered with the Regional Office of Education – 53.
• Regional Office 53 substitute list registration.
• Successful completion of fingerprint-based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), sex offender and violent youth offender screening.
• Successful completion of a physical exam.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the teacher.
