Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated substitutes in Arizona to support classrooms and help students. Join our team to build your resume, grow your skills, and impact students daily with a dedicated education consultant matching you to suitable assignments.

You'll supervise students, foster a safe learning environment, follow lesson plans, and communicate with staff. Benefits include paid training, weekly pay, and 401k eligibility.

Qualifications

• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks.
• Teaching credential or Substitute Teaching Permit (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave notes or feedback for the returning teacher.
• Sit, stand, walk and lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
• Observe and adapt to varied environments, indoor and outdoor.

• Earn up to $200 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term. While pay varies based on certification, school, and the assignment, we strive to pay some of the highest rates among substitute providers

Role Requirements:

• Have previous experience in special education settings
• Are bilingual and/or have bilingual teaching experience

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher
• Communicate clearly with school staff
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able tolift upto 30lbswhile safelyassistingstudents
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additionalrole requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
