Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a substitute teacher at Ohkay Owingeh Education & Disability Services. Under the direct supervision of the Education & Disability Service Manager, you will supervise students before, during and after school, follow the teacher’s lesson plan, and continue with the educational objectives for the grade being substituted.

Ensure safety and maintain order in the classroom, playground, and cafeteria.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.

Under the direct supervision of the Education & Disability Service Manager, substitute teachers will maintain direct supervision of students before, during and after school. Substitute teachers will follow the teacher’s lesson plan and continue with the educational objectives of the grade being substitutes. Ensure safety and maintain order in the classroom, playground, and cafeteria including wherever students are present while contributing to the educational process.
