Position: Substitute Teacher (Certified)

Summary:

To facilitate students learning the designated subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women; motivate and establish effective rapport with students; establish good relationshipswith parents and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach district-approved curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media
• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior, maintains discipline and utilizes appropriate classroom management techniques.
• Cooperate and collaborate with other staff members.
• Follow district policy, guidelines, regulations and procedures, as well as, maintain confidentiality according to law and policy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate.
• Successfully establish and maintain effective relationships.
• Effective oral and written communication.
