BRAVE Church in Englewood, Colorado, is seeking Substitute Teachers to support learning in the classroom while a regular teacher is away. The role pays $150.00 per day and operates on a 4-day workweek with BRAVE Academy’s mission guiding the classroom.

As a substitute, you will follow provided lesson plans, maintain a positive learning environment, supervise students, and assign work as directed. A cooperative team player with strong communication is needed.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in meal areas.
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the outline of the lesson plan and instructions from the regular Teacher.
• For long-term Substitutes: Develop lesson plans and assignments consistent with the regular teacher's past lesson plans in coordination with school leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is a contract position. This position pays $150.00 per day.

BRAVE Academy offers a 4 day workweek, with classes capped at 16 students

I. Summary of the position:

Substitute Teachers will partner with classroom teachers and Head of School or School Principal to support learning in the classroom while a teacher is away temporarily.

II. Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Experience working with children and/or students, preferably in a learning environment, prior teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a thorough grasp and commitment to BRAVE Academy mission and vision.
• Understands and follows all school policies.
• Enjoys teaching subject matter and working with students.
• Cooperative team player.
• May be required to lift up to 15 lbs. on occasion.
