Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school-age children in school, camp, childcare, recreation, tutoring, or similar setting.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and established classroom routines while adapting to different classrooms, grade levels, and assignments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with students, employees, and families.
• Ability to actively supervise groups of students and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Dependability, punctuality, flexibility, and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately to changing situations.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods and actively supervising students indoors and outdoors.
• Availability to work at least one to two days per week during the school year.
• Ability to meet all School and state requirements for employment, including required background clearance and applicable health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and supervision across grades 1–8.
• Provide active student supervision during lunch, recess, arrival, passing periods, and dismissal.
• Help with classroom preparation and organization.
• Adapt to different teachers, students, and grade levels as assignments vary.
