Hall County Schools is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide classroom instruction and maintain order when the regular teacher is absent. The role requires following lesson plans and supervising students throughout the school day.

Qualifications

You must complete the Substitute Teacher Orientation prior to working as a substitute.

Position Summary: Provide classroom instruction, maintain classroom management, and perform related duties to ensure daily routines and responsibilities are followed during the absence of the regular employee.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or 60 hours of post-secondary education preferred
• Satisfactory completion of Pioneer RESA 3 Hours Substitute Teacher Training Course or possession of a valid or expired Georgia Teaching Certificate (or letter of eligibility of same), or documentation of completion of Substitute Teacher Training with surrounding school systems.

Description:

• Maintain positive and orderly classroom and provide instruction to students according to the plans left by the regular employee.
• Supervise students outside the classroom (hallways, cafeteria, etc.).
• Use appropriate behavior management strategies.
• Act in a professional and ethical manner
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Adhere to all Hall County School District Board of Education policies and all state and federal laws, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
