Applitrack is posting a Substitute - Certified Teacher opportunity in Georgia. The substitute will provide instruction in the absence of the teacher of record, follow lesson plans, and support classroom activities across grade levels.

The role requires knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, plus strong communication with students, parents, and staff. Prior substitute or teaching experience is preferred; training and compliance with district policies are essential.

Qualifications

• GCPS Substitute Teacher Training or valid/expired teaching certificate.
• Completion of student teaching with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours from PSC-approved college/university.
• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Knowledge of child development.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Knowledge of office and media equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in the absence of the teacher of record.
• Proctor standardized tests with appropriate training.
• Maintain classroom management for the teacher of record.
• Follow communication protocols with parents and staff.
• Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Support special education students and staff as appropriate.
• Assist with the physical needs of special education students when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
