• Assumes responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in class, during lunch and in other activity periods.
• Maintains maximum supervision of assigned students at all times.
• Reports in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Follows all policies, rules and procedures.
• Remains in the building or on school grounds during the hours assigned as a Substitute.
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Daily Rate:

• Teacher 1-10 consecutive days – $110.00
• Teacher 11-20 consecutive days – $125.00
• Teacher 21-89 consecutive days – $145.00
• Teacher Long Term Sub – $145.00
• Virginia Certified Teacher / VA Certified – $200.00

*Full rate for a workday of over 3.75 hours; half rate for a workday of 3.75 hours or less

**Must be consecutive days

(You must commit to working 4 days per month to be considered an active sub.)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer. See and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors and on the telephone. Possesses the physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and to reach overhead.
