Job summary

Valor is seeking substitute teachers to cover regular classroom duties when regular teachers are absent. Substitutes assist in various capacities during teacher prep time as assigned by the Substitute Coordinator.

A full day runs from 7:20 a.m. to 3:10–3:30 p.m., with a daily rate of $115 and $150 for long-term substitutes. Half-day rates apply for up to 4 hours of work.

Substitute Teacher

Position Overview

Substitute teachers at Valor play a vital role in performing the duties of regular teachers when they are absent. Substitutes are required to assist in a wide range of different capacities, including during teacher prep time, as assigned by the Substitute Coordinator.

A full day of substitute teaching begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at the conclusion of the teacher’s duties for the day (3:10 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.). The daily rate is $115 with $150 for a long-term substitute position. The pay for working ½ day is half of the daily rate. A half day of substitute teaching includes up to 4 hours of work.
