Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION(S)

If in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, provides meaningful instruction to help students learn subject matter and/or skills for scheduled lessons. Maintains a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Establishes effective rapport with students and manages classroom effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implements the instructional plans left by the classroom teacher.
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly classroom.
  • Records notes/observations for classroom teacher.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Teacher licensure preferred.
COMPENSATION

The daily rate for substitute teacher is $130.
