Position Overview:

We're seeking enthusiastic, reliable Substitute Teachers to provide high-quality care and education when our regular teachers are unavailable. Substitute Teachers play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and joyful learning experience for our children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and care for children aged 3-5 in outdoor environments.
• Support daily routines and activities including play-based learning, snack times, and basic hygiene.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning atmosphere.
• Follow established guidelines, policies, and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with children, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass DCYF Portable Background Check and fingerprinting.
• Proof of negative TB test and MMR vaccination/immunity.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
• Previous experience with young children preferred but not required.
• Interest in outdoor education and child-led learning approaches.
