The Philadelphia School (TPS) is seeking a full-time Substitute Teacher for the 2025-26 academic year. We are a Preschool - 8 progressive, independent school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with an enrollment of 410 students. Since our founding in 1972, TPS has grown in size, complexity, and diversity, rooted in progressive values such as immersive learning, responsive pedagogy, and meaningful engagement with the world.
TPS seeks a creative, collaborative educator interested in progressive education and social justice, committed to personal and professional growth. The role involves curriculum integration, student observation, and co-teaching. As a Substitute Teacher, you will impact student lives by providing instruction, guidance, and fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive daily.
The hours are Monday - Friday, generally 8am - 4pm.
