High School Building Substitute Teacher {2025-2026}

New Foundations Charter High School is currently seeking a full-time Building Substitute teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Our staff members believe in our school mission — we are a caring community of learners. We seek candidates who value our community, are highly motivated, and demand excellence from themselves and their students.

At New Foundations, a Building Substitute Teacher's primary role is to support students by providing teacher coverage and assisting with various aspects of the school day. Building Substitute Teachers have an opportunity to gain teaching experience across different subject areas and grade levels.

Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • Support students and staff at the High School or K-8 by providing teacher coverage and assisting with various aspects of the school day.
  • Engage in instructional support to grow and improve as an educator.
  • Ability to maintain/write individual education plans.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree with a record of academic achievement.
  • Possess valid Pennsylvania teacher certification or be eligible for certification.
  • Demonstrate expertise and enthusiasm for relevant areas of instruction.
  • Preferably possess prior professional or volunteer experience in an urban public school or charter school setting.
