Job summary

When an educator is absent, substitute educators serve as assistants to the remaining educator. They are not responsible for creating or implementing substitute lesson plans. This is a part-time, hourly position. Sometimes we reach out a week in advance, other times we text early in the morning the day of an absence - this role requires readiness and availability to support us where and when there is a need! Qualifications: High School diploma is required. The ideal applicant has a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, is familiar with Montessori education and/or has experience in a public school setting, supervising children, and supporting instruction for students with special needs. The candidate is kind, caring, compassionate, enthusiastic, well-organized, bilingual (Spanish), and creative with excellent written and oral communication skills.
