Good Shepherd Catholic School in Kendall (Miami Dade), Florida is looking to hire a qualified and experienced full-time Substitute Teacher. This candidate will assume full responsibility of students while providing daily instruction and assessment, report in writing, the day’s activities at conclusion of each day, and provide others with feedback as requested by the principal. The Substitute Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• FLDOE Teaching certification in Elementary Education preferred.
• Must be able to collaborate with administration and parents.
• Able to maintain established routines and procedures of the school and assigned classroom(s).
• Able to assume responsibility for managing student behavior in class and throughout school day.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to facilitate student instruction and assessment.
• Proficiency in the English language, verbal and written.
• Proficient with MS Office and educational technologies such as online gradebooks and Promethean Board.
