Job summary

Ashe County Schools in Jefferson, North Carolina invites applications for substitute teachers. Openings exist currently to be filled immediately, with daily pay of $115.

As a substitute teacher, you will provide instruction in the absence of the classroom teacher, encourage student progress, maintain safety, and coordinate with the absent teacher to align with lesson plans and pacing.

Qualifications

• A 2-year degree or higher is preferred.
• Must have completed or be able to complete "Effective Substitute Teacher Training" unless applicant is a licensed educator
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be able to implement lesson plans in a variety of subject/grade level areas
• Must be a team player and adhere to all Board of Education policies
