Responsibilities

• Follow procedures and achieve lesson goals.
• Assign and explain the homework.
• Oversee students outside of the classroom, including in the hallways, cafeteria, playground, etc.
• Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times.
• Take attendance and document daily notes.
• Ensure the classroom and work is kept clean and orderly.
• Oversee the normal classroom rhythms and activities.
• Compile a report for the teacher for when he/she returns.
• Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the school day, to ensure a smooth transition.
• Ensure that all students are safely dismissed at the end of the school day.
