Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education.
• Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
• Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 60 college credits with 2.0 GPA or higher.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must provide three (3) professional references.
• Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state.

Desired

• Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
• Must pass a background check. Background checks are evaluated against both applicable state standards and Sub Teacher Sources’ own screening standards; even if certain conduct is permitted under state regulations, it may still be considered unacceptable under our standards.
