Job summary

Sub Teacher Source is seeking substitute teachers to support students when regular teachers are unavailable. Locations include Detroit and surrounding districts in Michigan.

You will deliver lesson plans, adapt to different classrooms and grade levels, and maintain a positive learning environment. Applicants should have 60 college credits with a 2.0 GPA or higher and a current substitute license or authorization where available.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education.
• Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
• Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in Middle and High school math all levels.
• Must have at least 60 college credits with 2.0 GPA or higher.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must provide three (3) professional references.
• Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must have a current Substitute License or Authorization, if available in your state.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and grade levels.
• Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives.
• Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
• Must pass a background check. Background checks are evaluated against both applicable state standards and Sub Teacher Sources’ own screening standards; even if certain conduct is permitted under state regulations, it may still be considered unacceptable under our standards
