Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a Substitute staff member to assist campus staff in a dynamic K-8 setting. You will help with driveline operations, light cleaning, classroom prep, and student supervision while supporting teachers with instructional tasks and grading.

The role requires the ability to interact positively with students and families, maintain a safe learning environment, and manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication with students, parents, staff and administration.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally in a school setting.
• Good multitasking and organizational skills.
• Willingness to support staff and follow school procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support campus staff and administrators in a K-8 setting.
• Assist with driveline pickup/drop-off, lunch/recess, and light cleaning.
• Prepare materials in copy room for teachers.
• Cover phones and check-in students during breaks.
• Assist teachers with grading, bulletin boards, and classroom tasks.
• Support individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, and trips.
• Float to areas of need to support staff breaks.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Substitute staff will work closely with staff, teachers, administrators, and other team members to provide the school with efficient processes and play an instrumental part in supporting students with educational benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Works with campus staff and administrators in a K-8 setting to support operational functions throughout the school.
• Ie. driveline pick-up/drop off and lunch and recess duty, light cleaning between lunch periods.
• Assist in the copy room prepping materials for teachers
• Provides breaks office staff coverage by answering phones and checking in students
• Supports teachers in the classroom with grading, creating bulletin boards, etc.
• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
• Interacts with students is a positive professional manner engaging them in their learning
• Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
• Floats to areas of need supporting staff breaks
• Periodically assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma/GED required
