Terms of Employment

Substitute Salary Schedule

Substitute Server Helpers are limited to working 600 hours per school year.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Health Certificate.
• Ability to relate well with other food service workers and school personnel.
• Ability to operate and care for institutional kitchen equipment and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Basic mathematics skills and ability to modify menus based on proportions and attendance.
• Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Always punctual.
• Other qualifications acceptable to the board.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup following Food Service policies and regulations.
• Supervise and instruct student workers during meal periods.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and temperature control procedures per health standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report issues promptly.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Food Services Director.
