Job summary

Northport-East Northport School Security operates 24/7 across the district, providing security for 10 school buildings throughout the year. Guards must be flexible and work various shifts, including holidays and after-school events, within the district.

All shifts are available. Candidates will be background checked, fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education, and may have prior law enforcement experience. CPR/AED/First Aid training is provided; CCTV monitoring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a NYS Department of State Security Guard License.
• Must complete an 8-hour NYS certification each year and a 16-hour NYS training certificate.
• Valid NYS Driver's License.
• All candidates will be subject to a background check and fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education.
• Some law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
• Some college preferred.
• Will be trained in CPR/AED/First Aid.
• Should have experience and knowledge of the operation of CCTV-Video monitoring and ability to export is a plus.
• Must be able to utilize technology, especially email and Word documents.
• Candidates should have a professional appearance and be self-motivated.

Northport-East Northport School Security is a 24/7, 365 days per year security operation. The district provides security for each of the 10school buildings throughout the year. GuardsMUST be flexible and will be asked to work various shifts in any of the 10schools within the district. Guardswill be asked to work holidays and after-school events.
