Qualifications

  • Current CPR/AED for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students referred by staff using health history and physical assessment to identify health concerns.
  • Collaborate with school physician, families, teachers, counselors, social workers, and administrators to address health needs.
  • Provide nursing interventions for acute and chronic health, emotional, mental health, and behavioral concerns.
  • Administer and document medications according to district policy.
  • Maintain student privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA, FERPA, and district policy.
  • Communicate with school personnel regarding student health issues.
