Job summary

LADACIN Network’s Schroth and Lehmann School is seeking a substitute school nurse to support students with developmental and multiple physical disabilities. You will work with a transdisciplinary team to meet individual goals, performing hands-on nursing tasks and health monitoring.

Requirements include a NJ-licensed RN and BLS certification. Experience with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred. Certifications in School Nurse and PALS are noted as preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care including gastronomy tube feedings.
• Administer medications and monitor daily health of students.
• Monitor seizures and maintain daily health observations.

The Position

LADACIN Network’s Schroth and Lehmann School is currently seeking a substitute school nurse to work with students with developmental and multiple physical disabilities. The school nurses work closely with our transdisciplinary team (teachers, therapists and school social worker) to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. Responsibilities include performing hands on nursing skills with gastronomy tube feedings, medication administration, seizure monitoring and daily health monitoring.

Licensed Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey and Basic Life Support Certification required. Experience with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred.

School Nurse Certifications And PALS Certification Preferred.
