Job summary

LADACIN Network is seeking a Substitute Registered Nurse for Lehmann Schools in Ocean County, NJ. You will work with a transdisciplinary team to meet student health needs, including gastrostomy feedings, medication administration, seizure monitoring, and daily health checks.

NJ RN license and BLS are required; experience with students with disabilities in a school setting is preferred. The program runs for 12 months with on-site childcare at reduced rates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care including gastrostomy tube feedings.
• Administer medications and monitor daily health.
• Observe and respond to seizures and overall health status.

The Position

LADACIN Network’s Lehmann Schools is currently seeking a registered nurse to work with students with developmental and multiple physical disabilities. The school nurses work closely with our transdisciplinary team (teachers, therapists and school social worker) to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. Responsibilities include performing hands on nursing skills with gastronomy tube feedings, medication administration, seizure monitoring and daily health monitoring.

Licensed Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey and Basic Life Support Certification required. Experience with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred.

Substitute School Nurse Certification Required And PALS Certification Preferred
