Job summary

District Wide in Afton, Wyoming, seeks a Substitute School Nurse to support student health services within Lincoln County School District #2.

The ideal candidate holds a Wyoming RN license and has experience in school nursing or healthcare settings, with the ability to assess and manage acute illnesses and injuries while maintaining confidentiality and communicating effectively with students, staff and families. The role reports to building administration.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Wyoming.

Job Description:

Experience as a school nurse or experience as a nurse in a health care setting. Experience working with children and adolescents is desired. The successful candidate will be able to accurately assess and manage acute illnesses and injuries; demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills; and exhibit the ability to maintain confidentiality, interact well with students in grades K-12, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Collaborate positively with administration, staff, parents, and students.

Scope of Job:

To act under the general direction of the building principal. To perform those duties required by school nurses to meet specific requirements as listed in state statutes and local school district policy related to the overall health care of students in the school system and other duties as assigned.

This job reports to building level administration.
