Job summary

Norwell Community Schools seeks a Substitute School Custodian to keep the school building clean, orderly, and well-maintained. You will perform duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, and trash disposal, under supervision of the head custodian.

Responsibilities include assisting with painting, window washing, floor care, and light maintenance; moving furniture as directed; and adhering to safety procedures and district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the school building clean, orderly, and well-maintained (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, stairs; chalkboards; empty trash; clean/restrooms and fountains.
• Assist with painting, window washing, floor wax, carpet cleaning, and minor utility tasks.
