Lehigh Career & Technical Institute is seeking a Substitute Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, kitchens, and restrooms, operating cleaning equipment, and managing waste and recycling according to policy.

The role requires a PA driver’s license and a High School Diploma or GED, with the ability to read at a 12th-grade level. Reports to the Director of Facilities and may involve snow removal and event setup.

Formación

• Experience in janitorial duties and use of janitorial equipment.
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to read at a 12th-grade level.

Responsabilidades

• Clean rooms, kitchens, lavatories, drinking fountains, corridors, stairways, windows and other spaces using dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, washing, wet mopping, waxing, and other approved techniques.
• Collect and dispose of trash. Separate recycled paper and cardboard into designated containers.
• Operate school cleaning equipment to properly maintain the building and grounds, including snow removal.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways; apply ice melt as required.
• Replace light bulbs in assigned areas; bulbs above ten feet require supervisor.
• Touch up painting on walls and door/window frames within ten feet.
• Perform room setup for various occasions.
• Empty rag containers daily.
