Job summary

Ocean Beach School District is seeking Substitute School Bus Drivers for our Transportation Department. This on-call position starts TBD with training provided; driving pay is $24.23 per hour, with training at minimum wage.

Applicants must meet Washington state requirements: 21+, experience on trucks/commercial vehicles or extensive passenger driving history, criminal record check, and completion of a school bus driver training course.

Qualifications

• Be at least twenty-one years of age.
• 1+ year on truck/commercial vehicle with endorsement, or 3+ years driving a passenger vehicle.
• Pass a criminal record check per RCW 28A.400.
• Complete a school bus driver training course.
• Meet continuing school bus driver requirements per WAC 392-144-102.

Position: Substitute School Bus Driver

Start Date: TBD

Hours: On-Call Basis

Rate: Training - Minimum Wage; Driving - $24.23/hr

Individuals must meet the following qualifications in order to become a school bus driver in the state of Washington.

• Be at least twenty-one years of age.
• Have at least one year of experience as a driver of a truck or commercial vehicle requiring a special endorsement or, in the alternative, at least three years of experience as a driver of a passenger vehicle.
• Submit to a criminal record check according to chapter28A.400 RCW that shows that no offenses have been committed which would be grounds for denial of an authorization.
• Satisfactorily complete a school bus driver training course.
• Meet all applicable continuing school bus driver requirements in WAC392-144-102 .
