Job summary

Chief Leschi Schools in Washington seeks a Substitute School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school, bus stops, events and field trips. You will operate a school bus in accordance with regulations, maintain order on board, perform inspections, and communicate with staff and families.

The role requires reliability, good judgment, and respect for Native American students and communities. This on-call substitute position offers the opportunity to support transportation services

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent driving abstract
• Valid Washington State CDL (Class B), P-1 and S endorsements
• Documented experience in school setting
• Ability to obtain First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Safely transports students and other passengers to and from school, bus stops, events, and activities.
• Operates school buses safely under varying conditions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety equipment on the bus.
• Supervises students and maintains appropriate conduct on board.
• Performs required reports, inspections, and documentation accurately and on time.
