Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and transport students.
• Familiarity with safety standards, laws, and district policies.
• Ability to read maps and follow assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• Transports students between pickup points and schools per schedules.
• Complies with laws and local regulations for school bus operation.
• Maintains order on the bus and follows safety rules during driving and loading/unloading.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports defects.
• Cleans and maintains bus interiors/exteriors; fuels buses as needed.
• Keeps required records and reports incidents to supervisors.
• Discharges/picks up students only at authorized stops.
• Installs chains on buses as required and follows safety procedures.
