Candidates must hold a Missouri CDL Class B or higher and a Missouri school bus operator's permit, pass annual medical and written exams, and clear a background check. Qualifications

• Meet age requirements: at least 21 and under 70, with possible exceptions after July 1 following the 70th birthday if annual medical and written exams are passed.
• Obtain Missouri CDL Class B or higher and a Missouri school bus operator's permit.
• Maintain good physical and mental health and pass annual medical examination.
• Clearance on background check satisfactory to the District.

Responsibilities

• Transport students in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate school vehicles in accordance with state rules, Missouri Motor Vehicle Laws and district policies.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and report any problems.
• Maintain clean and unobstructed interior and exterior conditions on the bus.
• Be punctual at scheduled stops and attend driver training annually.
• Report any school bus incidents promptly and cooperate with transportation leadership.
