Job summary

The Community YMCA is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver to cover morning and mid-day routes for our School Age Program in Springfield. The role requires safe transport to local schools and adherence to YMCA safety policies.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of driving experience, 2 years CDL experience, and CPR/First Aid certification, with the ability to work as needed on short notice.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 with valid CDL and school bus endorsement.
• Current physical exam completed within required timeframe.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from designated sites.
• Perform before-and-after trip checks and maintain vehicle logs.
• Adhere to YMCA policies and state transportation laws.
• Maintain a positive, safety-focused atmosphere for children.
• Communicate with supervisor and staff about routes and safety.
