Job summary

Regional YMCA is seeking a part-time driver for the before- and after-school program in Connecticut. The role averages 2–4 hours daily, Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts.

You will transport children to school and on field trips, performing daily safety inspections and submitting reports, while maintaining professional conduct with families, children, staff and the public. Applicants must be at least 21, have a clean driving record, and possess a CT Public Service License.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
• CT Public Service License required.
• Training opportunities include Driver Safety, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Mandated Reporting Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transport children from the before/after school program to and from school and on field trips.
• Perform daily safety inspections and submit daily reports.
• Promote and maintain professional conduct when working with families, children, staff and the public.
• Participate in required job trainings and comply with licensing requirements.

Responsibilities include following safety rules and traffic regulations in order to operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, performing daily safety inspections and prepare and submit daily reports, promote and maintain professional conduct when working with families, children, staff and the general public, Participate in training related to job including Driver Safety, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Mandated Reporting Procedures and perform all duties in compliance with State and Local licensing requirements, policies and procedures. Applicants must possess effective communication skills, be extremely reliable, responsible and be committed to the philosophy and goals of the YMCA.
