Duluth Public Schools is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver II to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. The role includes pre-trip inspections and light maintenance to keep vehicles safe, plus reporting on transportation activities.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Minnesota driver’s license; CDL endorsement eligibility is required. Training to obtain the CDL will be provided. Starting wage is $24.49/hr with benefits.

Summary: Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to safely transport students to and from school and school related functions within scheduled times, maintaining proper student conduct during transport. To perform pre-trip inspections and assist with maintenance on student transport vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. To provide written reports related to student transport

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.
• Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license.
• Ability to obtain CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, DOT physical and criminal history background check.

Additional Information:

• Employer will pay and provide training to obtain CDL license.
• $20.61 per hour with excellent benefits

• Single Coverage – District pays 100% of premium (FREE) + contributes $2,612.50into HRA annually
• Family Coverage – District pays 75% of premium (25% employee contribution) + contributes $5,225.00into HRA annually
• Single Coverage – District pays 100% of Basic premium (FREE)
• Family Coverage – District pays 25% of Premium

Life Insurance

• District provides minimum of $50,000 of life insurance at no cost, employee may purchase supplemental life insurance
