Job summary

Duluth Public Schools is seeking a Substitute School Bus Driver II to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. The role includes pre-trip inspections and light maintenance to keep vehicles safe, plus reporting on transportation activities.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Minnesota driver’s license; CDL endorsement eligibility is required. Training to obtain the CDL will be provided. Starting wage is $24.49/hr with benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license.
• Ability to obtain CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, DOT physical and criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related functions within scheduled times.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and assist with vehicle maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Provide written reports related to student transport and incidents.
