Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support classrooms and collaborate with lead teachers in Head Start programs. The role centers on child development and family engagement, helping create positive outcomes in our communities.

You will follow center policies, promote positive guidance, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment. This position offers strong growth through supportive team work and program commitments.

Qualifications

• The commitment and passion to work with children and families.
• Effective communication and written skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Substitute Certification preferred, Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Work effectively with other teacher(s) in the assigned classroom and center
• Support the social and emotional development of children and using "positive guidance" approaches to dealing with challenging behaviors
• Encourage the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program and supporting the development of relationships between children and their families
• Follow all Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations
