Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a passionate Job Coach to join our Employment Services Program in the Bronx. The role centers on training, evaluating, and counseling individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across a range of jobs with local employers and contracts AHRC maintains.

You will manage a small caseload, work at job sites most of the time, and support new workers through demonstrations, coaching, and progress notes.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to scheduling needs (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience preferred.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including writing and oral communication.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Teach, assist, and support workers in their jobs using demonstration, modeling, counseling, observation, and discussion.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities, ensuring success in their roles.

• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor progress and outcomes.

The Job Coach is the central figure in the success of our workers, providing training, evaluation, and counseling across a wide variety of jobs at independent businesses and through contracts AHRC holds with various entities. Location: Bronx. Job Type: Part-time, 10-20 hours per week (must be available at least 2 weekdays + weekends). Payrate: $20/hour.
