Job summary

The School District of Bayfield is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional (Instructional) to assist certified staff with students in the classroom and meet instructional goals. This on-call position frees certified staff from non-professional duties.

Responsibilities include providing instructional reinforcement for individuals or small groups, assisting with classroom management, supervising students in various settings, and supporting students with special needs as directed by the teacher.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Special Education Program Aide License through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is required to substitute for a Special Education Aid.

Position Purpose

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist certified professional staff with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties. This is an on-call position; as needed.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18years of age
• To substitute for a Special Education Aid, applicants must hold a Special Education Program Aide License through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
