Johnsburg School District 12 seeks enthusiastic Substitute Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year to support instruction and student learning. Qualifications

• Paraprofessional License required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in human relations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and helping of individual student with special needs, or in small groups, as needed.
• Assist and support teachers to organize learning experiences for student(s).
• Supervision of students during lunch, hallway and bathroom times.
• Under teacher direction and guidance, assist in assessing student needs and progress.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Attend offerings for professional growth.
• Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality.
• Promote a positive relationship with students, staff and community.
• Help maintain an attractive and inviting classroom environment.
• Perform any task or responsibilities which may be directed by the Teacher, Building Principal, or Student Services Director.
