Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
• 2 years of study totaling 72 quarter hours or an associate degree or pass para-educator competency test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional services for eligible students and support certificated staff.
• Instruct students individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Adapt lessons with teacher approval to supplement classroom activities.
• Assist in reading, writing, math, and social/emotional skills.
• Score standardized classroom assessments.
• Prepare materials and maintain student records as directed.
• Maintain health and safety standards and report concerns.
• Supervise classroom, building, and outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality under FERPA.
