Job summary

Rochester Public Schools in Rochester, MN seeks at-will on-call Health Office Nurse substitutes to provide daily medical care for students and staff, administer medications, and respond to emergencies in accordance with district policies.

Under supervision of the licensed school nurse, you will support staff, follow student health plans, and perform duties within the responsibilities of Student Support Services; Minnesota-licensed RN or LPN with CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN or LPN license.
• CPR and First Aid certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily medical care including scheduled medication administration, first aid and emergency care for Rochester Public School students and staff.
• Administer medications and specialized treatments as needed and in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and licensure parameters.
• Provide information and support for school staff to ensure effective health office services as directed by the district Licensed School Nurse.
• Perform other duties within the level of responsibility of the position as assigned by Student Support Services administrator and Licensed School Nurses.

Job Summary:

• Provide daily medical care including scheduled medication administration, first aid and emergency care for Rochester Public School students and staff in accordance with District Policy and Procedures and in compliance with student health plans.
• Administer medications and specialized treatments as needed and in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and licensure parameters.
• Provide information and support for school staff to ensure effective health office services as directed by the district Licensed School Nurse.
• Perform other duties within the level of responsibility of the position as assigned by Student Support Services administrator and Licensed School Nurses.

Qualifications:

• Current RN or LPN Minnesota Nursing License.Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Hourly Rate:

$1.00 below step 1 of the B-3-1 band and grade for substitutes that hold a current LPN license with the Minnesota Department of Nursing.

$1.00 below step 1 of the B-3-2 band and grade for substitutes that hold a current RN license with the Minnesota Department of Nursing.

2026-2027 School Year

$26.85 per hour if you hold a current Minnesota LPN license.

$32.21 per hour if you hold a current Minnesota RN license.
