Job summary

Fairfield City School District seeks substitute registered nurses to support schools as needs arise. Positions vary by building and schedule, and hours cannot be guaranteed.

Applicants must hold a valid RN license, provide CPR certification and license copies, and pass FBI/BCI background checks. Fingerprinting coordination is available through the district.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• Provide copy of nursing license and CPR certification.
• Must hold an ODE permit and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Substitute nursing opportunities when absences arise within the district.
• Complete required applications and background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Coordinate fingerprinting and licensing documents as needed.

Opportunities to substitute as a nurse are available throughout the district. As a substitute, hours and/or days of work cannot be guaranteed as these opportunities are generated as absences occur or as other needs arise. To be added to the substitute nurse list, the following need to be submitted:

• Completed Application
• BCI and FBI background check results
• Must hold a RN license
• Must provide copy of nursing license and CPR
• Must hold an ODE permit

Applicants that are offered a substitute opportunity shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
