Job summary

Bland County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to perform general building and grounds tasks, assist with minor repairs, painting, mowing, weed eating, and landscaping, and respond to maintenance requests as directed. The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working outdoors.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks.
