Responsibilities

• Assists students in the cafeteria and playground during lunch periods.
• Assists hallway line‑up of students during lunch distribution.
• Enforces rules and regulations to maintain appropriate student management in the lunchroom and playground.
• Maintains an appropriate lunchroom environment by cleaning tables between lunch periods and returning supplies after the last lunch.
• Assists students with use of lavatory facilities during lunch periods as needed.

Compensation

Substitute Lunch Aide – $15.13 per hour (starting 2016‑2017 School Year)

Criminal History Background Check

New applicants should use the site https://homeroom2.state.nj.us/chr/chr_start.jsp and select “New Administration Fee Request” if fingerprinted before February 21 , 2003; otherwise select “Archive Application Request”. Pay a total fee of $62.70 (includes a $10 administrative fee and a $1 NICUSA fee) and schedule LiveScan fingerprinting by Morpho Trust.

Applicants who have been fingerprinted after February 21 , 2003 and have a break in continuity should submit an Archive Application Request at www.nj.gov/education/educators/crimhist/, enter the PCN number, pay $27.50 (includes an $11 administrative fee), and print the confirmation page.
