Oak Harbor Public Schools is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the health services program and manage health care plans for students. This role involves working closely with families and staff to address the unique health needs of children in a school environment.
The position requires a high school diploma, an LPN degree, and a Washington State license. Experience with school-aged children is preferred. A personal vehicle is required for travel to various sites.
Must have the ability to work with families and staff to develop health care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Must be able to manage seizures, allergic reactions, tube feeding, and other medical issues. The LPN functions in an interdependent role to deliver care as directed and assist in the revision of care plans in collaboration with the RN. The health services program is designed to respond to each student's unique developmental health needs, contribute to a safe and healthy school environment, ensure that health needs are recognized and planned for in the total school program and meet state and federal health‑related requirements. Work is based on employee absenteeism and there are no guaranteed hours or benefits.
