Job summary

Questar III BOCES announces a Substitute Laborer position to assist with various operations and maintenance duties at multiple locations, including snow and ice removal, landscaping, and custodial/ construction tech support.

Typical duties include semi-skilled work in carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing, and grounds maintenance, plus repairs and preventative maintenance of facilities. High school diploma or GED and 2 years in trades are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and at least two years of training/experience in one or more mechanical or construction trades.
• Preferred: experience maintaining a school facility and supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled work in carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing and landscaping.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance of Questar facilities.
• Grounds keeping activities including snow and ice removal during winter months.

Job Description

Questar III BOCES announces a Substitute Laborer position to assist with various operations and maintenance duties, including snow and ice removal, landscaping, assisting with custodian and construction tech duties.

Typical work activities will include, but are not limited to: performing semi-skilled work in carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, plumbing and landscaping; performing the repairs and preventative maintenance of Questar facilities; performinggrounds keeping activities including snow and ice removal during winter months.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and at least two (2) years of training and experience in one or more of the mechanical or construction trades required.

Preferred applicants will have experience providing building and grounds maintenance to an educational facility and supervision experience.
