Hamilton County Educational Service Center in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Part-Time Casual Job Coach/Job Trainer to support 9–12 grade students with identified disabilities. You will help students develop job-site skills to become independent contributors in the community.

You will travel to various locations, learn each job, and provide coaching with a fade-out plan to promote independence while maintaining student confidentiality and strong collaboration with school staff and employers.

Competenze

High School Diploma/GED, prefer a varied work background and volunteer experiences.
Must enjoy working with young adults.

Mansioni

Travel to various locations daily; maintain Ohio Van Driver's License qualifications.
Assist the worker in learning all job tasks.
Break down job tasks and provide supports/modifications with coordinators and teachers.
Learn and demonstrate coaching skills and fade support to foster independence.
Liaise between job site supervisors, the student and the school team.
Identify and help establish natural supports on the job site.
Supervise the student on the job and follow the approved fade-out plan.
Communicate progress to the Transition to Work Coordinator and employer; keep data sheets on progress and issues.
Keep accurate records of service delivery for billing and timekeeping; submit documents timely.
Participate in meetings regarding the student and maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED, prefer a varied work background and volunteer experiences, must enjoy working with young adults

JOB SUMMARY: To work with 9-12 grade students with identified disabilities to develop skills on job sites to help them to become independent contributing employees in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Meet the Transition to Work Coordinator and student's classroom teacher; learn and demonstrate understanding of each job, student individual learning/training needs.
Must be able to travel to various locations on a daily basis. If transporting students, must complete and maintain all qualifications for Ohio Van Drivers License (ODE rules).
Assist the worker in learning all job tasks.
Break down job tasks and offer supports/modifications with the assistance of the Transition to Work Coordinator and classroom teachers.
Learn and demonstrate specific coaching skills as well as the ability to fade support to foster independence.
Serve as a liaison between the supervisors on the job, the student and the school team.
Identify and help establish natural supports on the job site.
Supervise student on the job at all times and follow written, approved fade out plan.
Communicate worker's progress to the Transition to Work Coordinator, Teacher and employer (if appropriate).
a. Keep data sheets on worker progress or issues.
b. Discuss modifications attempted and results of these modifications.
c. Discuss anticipated plan and direction of training with the Transition to Work Coordinator.
d. Provide suggestions and input regarding worker training to the Transition to Work Coordinator or Teacher.
Keep accurate records of service delivery for purposes of billing student's school district, mileage reimbursement forms, and time sheets; turn in these documents in a timely manner.
Participate in meetings regarding the student as requested.
Maintains student confidentiality, providing only information to authorized persons.
